Anatom have designed these shoes for trail walkers and "fast and light" hikers and their light weight and robust outers ensure that they will work well for both groups. They have also used Vibram's grippiest Skyrunner sole (produced in collaboration with the International Skyrunning Federation), so bringing in several other uses. They would cope well with a bit of scrambling on the approach to or descent from a rock climb, for instance, and would weigh little clipped to a harness. A good degree of stiffness makes them useable for a longer scrambling day or a via ferrata too, as long as you are happy without ankle protection. The well cushioned cuff and good heel shock absorbtion make them comfortable for prolonged use, whether walking or just in casual use. An excellent multi-activity shoe which scores very highly for lightness and the grippiness of the sole.
