This versatile 32 litre capacity can be used as a large day hiking pack or a minimalist overnight sack (the side pockets and tension straps would allow you to carry a small tent), and the Airzone back system distributes the weight well. The specially tensioned Airzone mesh stands just far enough from your back to allow air to circulate without being clumsy and occupying too much extra space.
Its super tension design means that the air space does not get compressed when you have a full pack (unlike other packs which end up flat against your back with no room to breathe!) The main compartment is accessible from the top and has a drawcord closure with a large pull over lid to secure the contents and keep them protected from the weather. Inside there is a water bladder sleeve with outlet hole at the top for your hydration tube. On the inside of the lid is a useful zipped security pocket with key holder and on the very top outside is quite a large zipped pocket.
On each side of the daypack you have a large, stretchy mesh pocket for drinks bottles or easy to grab items and there are two handy pockets on the waist belt for easy access essentials (tissues, or a mobile phone/small camera). At one side you'll find Lowe Alpine's neat trekking pole holders, in the front there's another zipped compartment plenty back enough for an OS map and in the base there is a pocket which stores a raincover - very essential! Other nice little touches include a clip for a bike light on the back and a whistle on the chest strap. A really well designed, good looking, comfortable sack.
