6 Days to spare? Why not walk the Peak District the Inn Way. The Peak is renowned for its plethora of excellent country pubs and Mark Reid has described a route where you can enjoy much of the area's superb scenery and finish in a pretty village with a choice of fine hostelries for food, drink. and chat. The circular route crosses both Dark & White Peak, ranging from the wild moorland of Kinder Scout and the craggy scarp of Stanage Edge to the deep cut meanders of the Wye Valley and the gentle parkland of Chatsworth. Walk lengths are from 11.5 to 17.5 miles, with around 1000 feet of ascent most days. The guidebook comes with sketch maps and drawings, detailed route descriptions and lots of local and historical information.
